If your intention is bad is your good action moot ?

There IS no good action backed by bad intention.

Intentions, bad or good, are IMO overated

We only need to read to see some under intended good outcomes in life. I won't call that moot. I'd call it suspect, and if anyone tries to manipulate me that way, they have my stern attention, but the effect itself is still received.
