happily, unemployed people

not talking about those with disabilities or mental health issues, just to be clear before the people on this site who are overly sensitive start crying and moaning haha

I dont understand how people can be happily unemployed and do nothing with their lives except leech onto others for financial support.
Just pure laziness

To me personally, unemployment is pretty miserable, but I'm happy for anyone who's OK with it as long as they're not doing it parasitically. If you happen to have someone in your life who's happy to financially support you or perhaps simply enough savings to get by on that alone, I think it's kinda cool not to tie your sense of self worth to your economic productivity like a lot of people seem to do.

All that being said, you'd still hope they're off doing something with their time. There are some people whose only hobby is media consumption, and that's just not very hot.

LoL welcome to my life. It's one of the main reasons I choose not to date. Since I'm unemployed I'll just be a burden on my partner. ( An unfortunate truth that not a lot of unemployed people don't want to deal with)

I've had it really tough the past four years and I just pursue my hobbies which I enjoy but also try not to take too seriously because of how competitive it is.

I still want friends since I do have money to do small things.

It's depressing. I was told that my life would be a certain way but then I realized that life doesn't happen in a perfectly straight line

Thank God, I’m retired, so I don’t have to be in the cultural rat race anymore, but I would like to do something part-time or voluntary, if Covid ever goes away.
Will power, hard work, and determination took a huge blow to the everyone gets a trophy therapy cures everything psychosis of modern society.
There is work to do at home too. I guess it depends on what the person who stays at home does all day.

@Spoiledbrat not referring to stay at home parents either if that clears that. I mean those who sit around doing nothing

every job I had was a hostile work environment. I'd rather avoid working for as long as possible.

As someone with a crappy job I can understand why unemployment is appealing to some people but for me I was more miserable when I was unemployed.

I knew some people like this. They felt why work when you dont have to. Like it was a no brainer
