What was the toughest job you ever had?

It could be a time of employment you had, a one time side job, a role in life, or a responsibility you were given or took. What was it and what was so hard about it? Remember that what seems easy to one person can be very difficult for another.
For myself I would say being a parent is hard because so many times I'm wondering if I'm doing the right thing.
My current employment is difficult because it's so physically demanding. I'm a picker for online order fulfillment and I feel like my legs are going to fall off every day.

I worked for UPS one summer loading trucks - not the little brown delivery trucks, but big 18 wheeler trucks. The was a huge conveyor belt that ran the length of the building. There were side chutes that would direct packages to the proper truck.

If you were too slow, packages would back up onto the main conveyor belt. You’d hear a siren and then someone over the loudspeaker saying “ Blockage Truck #8”. You’d then have to scramble up the chute to unblock everything.

I remember coming home so sweaty that I literally had to peel my clothes off.

@sciguy18 I've unloaded 18 wheeler trucks and it sucks when you get backed up cuz they stop for nothing.

@morrgin We loved unloading because you could go at your own pace...
