Before university, I would leave my math-homework and do it at school while waiting the class to start. It's kinda important to do anyway, even if I quite agree "it's not real math".
Just realize you can't do that anymore at university, though... Although I'll admit having tried to solve the problems on the fly when called to present the solution on table during labs... *cough*

I kinda wish somebody had told me that though, it's little jarring going from "I don't have to worry about that stuff and the teach's running out of grades to give" to "Jeez, I might actually have to put some effort into this". 'specially, as our physics professor was all "I bet you're thinking I'm here to teach you? Ha! Think again, you've got books for that."
This might not sound bad if you learn by books anyway, but I don't think nothing really prepares you for that, and leaving things for the last minute or just nodding your head "Yeah I knew that" is a hard habit to break in a hurry. But yea, enough on that :)
