No, whole numbers certainly do not include negative numbers. Your description of a whole number is simply that of an integer. I think whole numbers do include the zero, while natural numbers don't. I remember them being referred to as "counting numbers" because most people don't include zero while counting.

better do your math hw then ;) actually all those definitions are entwined but whole numbers may refer to all the integers, check it.
