I quite like Taurus for the meteor showers but also I like stars which follow each other around like their mythological counterparts on earth. Taurus don't have that so much but it does have Aldebaran following the seven sisters of the Pleiades.

I like the horns of Taurus. If I can see Orion's belt and nebula, I go to the horns as a measure of that night's clarity. The Pleiades to me is old. See, I've been looking at that one since I was four. Probably even before. But I'm attached to the Orion Nebula, because that was what got me into space as a kid in the first place :3 Personally, I prefer the Geminids, because of their brilliant greenish hue.

Draco's regal march, as he stretches sinuously across the sky.

I don't think I've really given much attention to Draco. In fact, I don't really know how to find it. I live in a Class 7 location, so there's too much light pollution (and humidity) to really make out too many constellations.

How disappointing. Is there no one you can drive out to the country with, once in a while. You may still not be able to see Draco, but there's nothing quite like a clear night sky in a sky not polluted by city lights.

Unfortunately not. HOWEVER. I am planning with my dad a trip to the Atacama this summer. :3

TetrisGuy · 26-30, M
Um... they teach you about constellations in third grade... the ones like Orion, the Big Dipper, and stuff like that...
MrHazeinCherubsGrace
NONE! The constellation prize is always crap :(
TetrisGuy · 26-30, M
Is that when they give you a poster of various stars if you don't win a contest? x'DDD

The Pleiades (The Seven Sisters)
TetrisGuy · 26-30, M
That's not a constellation. xD Mean, I like the Pleiades, but it's technically not a constellation.
goodogstay
Yeah, I guess you're right.
The Pleiades is a star cluster contained in the constellation Taurus, (The Bull).
