What's funny is that dogs live rather communistically. Dog packs do what's best for the whole rather than putting themselves first. They tend to risk their lives to save the pack. I mean, it's not a true commune but you see what I mean. That's why dogs are all-so-willing to save your life all the time, because they've accepted you as part of their pack, among other things.
