How can someone live their lives without the constant wonder of the world around them?

Seriously. I never experienced how it is like being ignorant of the world. I'd imagine it would be very painful; it is this curiosity that kept me alive, kept me from killing myself the years I was horrifically bullied throughout elementary and middle school. How can one live their lives without seeing or wondering about the underlying mathematics to this world? How can one not be curious to find out how things work? I apologize that my generation is such a disappointment, but please do not associate all teenagers to be mindless technology-controlled zombies. There are the few of us that take time to appreciate nature and mathematics.

You may not be able to travel far, but you can still marvel at your surroundings. Have you taken the time to realize what brought you to New England? What makes New England run? Have you ever looked at your backyard and realized everything that goes on to keep that tree alive? The life that occurs beneath the surface? The live that occurs above the surface? Look at technology around you. How does everything work? What brought you that technology? There's a lot to marvel about in this world, and unfortunately, not many people realize that.

Yes I was bon&raised in Newport RI & I seen the beauty of my town (being from the poor side, the rich run it) The water, waves, cliffwalk, the beauty of the mansions their history, technology yes cell phones internet sewage systems electricity nature, I love nature used to walk through a small woods to breath and watch everything, now homeless people ;llive in the small woods. I can not travel far yet but I understand I need to appreciate what I see more. Thanks you caught my attention to look more into other things beside nature but nature is pure and beautiful

Yes, nature is very pure and beautiful, and it's even more amazing if you look at it from an even purer perspective of math.

Because they feel safe not knowing what's around them.. And I think if they are exposed to ie. mathematics in nature or something actively living in their lives that's a higher complexity, they wouldn't feel safe

That's like being afraid of roller coasters without having ridden one. It looks scary from afar. People are often too intimidated to ride the roller coaster. They have preconceived notions about it. Once they ride it, they'll realize what an amazing thing they've been missing out on.
