Does seeing the glass half-empty really indicate pessimism?
Or does it indicate the optimism towards striving for more? The glass, no matter how full or empty it appears to be, can have an optimistic view on it.

I can never answer this question because I need to know what is being done with epithet glass. If you are filling it, it's half full, if you are drinking it, it's half empty, if it's just sitting there the liquid is probably evaporating and is also half empty, unless there is extremely high humidity in which case the liquid in the glass is doing nothing.
