Apparently there's this guy that has 63 first names, most of them nonsense. He holds the title for the longest name. BUT

I'm going to do something crazier. I'm going to get my name legally changed to... an equation. Oh, people would just call me Fractal. But it'd be some sort of calculus formula or something, for the title and to really show dedication to my love of math. "Excuse me, but where's the integral symbol on this sheet?"A guy, Robert Smith, is a physicist that changed his name to Robert Smith? with a question mark, to differentiate between he and other Robert Smiths. So you CAN put symbols in your name. I'm just wondering what my driver's license would look like. Then again, 63-word-long-name-guy would have an even worse problem. "You were speeding back there, Ms... um... er... this is fake, right? You've got to be kidding me."
