Yeah, too bad it restricts visitors based on their religion.

I know mslims have been criticized for this but I don’t think there should be any criticism upon this issue.Only one major ("Christian") group restricts access to any area of worship. The LDS (Latter Day Saints of Jesus Christ) "Monmons" restrict access to their major "Temples" to members in good-standing.The local worship centers are open to ANYONE.Hindus also have some sacred places where people from other religions are not allowed to enter. It should be kept in mind that people of any other religions are allowed to enter into any Masjid of the world except Makkah and Madina.☺

Wouldn't go anywhere that discriminates against me because of my religious beliefs or thoughts. No criticism? You just stated that I can't enter at Makkah and Madina. I can criticize that.

Because its a place to worship one God,Allah. If you believe in him then you are welcome.

My point, exactly.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons). If Muslims have Makkah and Medina as exceptions, why can't anybody else have exceptions?

Mormons believe that the Temple is The House of the Lord. They go there to worship and learn. They perform ordinances and make covenants with God, the same as the Jews and some other religions. One should be pure to enter a Mormon temple. Anyone who is obedient to God's laws may enter the temple. I see no difference.

You can all be "pure" and keep your temples to yourself. As for making comparisons, Islam prohibits entry to the entire city, not just the temple. Here is the lovely verse for the Koran: "... Truly the idolaters are unclean; so let them not, after this year, approach the Sacred Mosque...." (9:28). Don't know about you, but I am clean and certainly no idolater.

Oh, and by the way, any non-Jew can visit the wailing wall (holiest Jewish site) in Jerusalem at anytime, proving only that you cover your head.
