Why did the USA drone kill that Pakistan Taliban leader the day before he was due to start peace talks with Pakistan?

The whole concept of making peace with the Taliban is beyond ridiculous to me. If it were up to me everyone who militantly acted on that antiquated and draconian ideology and tried to force others to do so, would be isolated from the rest of society or sought out and wiped out until their memory was erased from the face of the earth. They are fascists and have no place in the 21st century. I hate everything the Taliban stands for. Remember these are the guys who shot Malala for advocating education for young girls. These are the ones who are supplying most of the worlds with heroin and promoting pure ideological poison.
