American Amanda Knox says she will not travel to Italy for an appeals trial over the 2007 murder of British student Meredith Kercher.

"I was already imprisoned as innocent person in Italy," Ms Knox said told NBC. "I just can't relive that."

Ms Knox and her Italian ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were found guilty in 2009, but acquitted on appeal in 2011.

In March, Italy's highest court overturned both acquittals, ordering a fresh appeals process

Hell no, I wouldn't go back. And if they found me guilty they would have to extradite me, that is if they could find me.

so you want her to get away with murder?

She claims her innocence, I believe her. She was declared innocent by 2 Italian Judges. What else would you do, go to jail for something you didn't do to please society.

She was found guilty at the original trial, then acquitted on appeal. Now the appeal has been overturned. She should go and answer the questions again, surely, innocent or not?

If found guilty she will have to be extradited. That's the law.

She may have to. The USA has an extradition treaty with Italy, probably because of the Mafia gangsters.

If found guilty again in her absence she will be extradited to Italy to serve her sentence.

She should but she won't and she won't be extradited either.
