One Valentine's Day I took my girlfriend, at the time, out for lunch. It was a weekday, she was at work, and we had only an hour.
As we were getting out of the car I grabbed a newspaper from the backseat. She asked why and I said I wanted to look at something.
In the restaurant we ordered lunch and I began turning the pages of the paper. She wanted to know what I was doing, we had less than an hour and I'm reading the paper? She was not pleased.
I could tell she was getting angry so I turned to the personals and said, what's this?, and showed her a tiny poem I had written about her.
Boy, did I get the good nookie after that! Even her mom thought I was the most romantic guy on the planet!
