What does it feel like to lose someone to suicide?

Confusing, heartbreaking. You wonder if you could've done something to prevent it, coulda done this or that better or more. There's this anguish...

I've never had a loved one die of suicide, but I volunteer yearly at a suicide conference for survivors (loved ones) of those who have commit suicide. Generally, those are the emotions they reflect... and you can FEEL it in the room, this heaviness.

Yes. The conference is meant to be a resource for people to connect with those who have had similar loses and to make sure they have resources that they need, as well as to lift the burden off of them and honor their loved ones. A lot of people leave a Whole lot lighter than when they came in. Sure there is crying, and it's hard... but people come back year to year, and it does help.
