Would it be a terrible idea to use Facebook to reveal to my family the fact that I'm an atheist?

My family is predominantly Christian; I'm sure there are a few others that are atheists as well, but I've never actually heard one of them say that they didn't believe in god. I think only a few would have serious issues with it, but I could be wrong about that. And the main reason for which this option is attractive to me is that I tend to get extremely nervous and anxious when I try to talk about these sorts of things... And anyone's welcome to answer this, whether you're an atheist or not.

I wouldn't use Facebook to do that although it shouldn't really matter if your parents don't accept you for who you are and your beliefs that's on them if they do then it's the same thing. I personally don't really agree with a lot of things that go on in religion but I still respect people's religions because some of them need something to believe in.
