Would it be a terrible idea to use Facebook to reveal to my family the fact that I'm an atheist?

My family is predominantly Christian; I'm sure there are a few others that are atheists as well, but I've never actually heard one of them say that they didn't believe in god. I think only a few would have serious issues with it, but I could be wrong about that. And the main reason for which this option is attractive to me is that I tend to get extremely nervous and anxious when I try to talk about these sorts of things... And anyone's welcome to answer this, whether you're an atheist or not.

Ah, I don't think Facebook is the way to go. That would be weird *"just got my car washed, and oh by the way, I'm an athiest."*

Yeah, you're right - it's probably not the best way to go about it, and I probably won't do it, but I think it would be easier that way.
