Because it is necessary. If we ignore them they keep on asking such questions and posting such perverted posts. Then eventually they become a headache. EP is for social networking and sharing experiences and not for such perverted people. Who knows maybe they hack into our profiles someday and do something that we don't wish to happen.

Should we not at least consider some other way that we could get them to stop?

We can block them but that does not stop them from posting such things. If we insult them or tell them in harsh words it can have at least some effect on them. Because i think diamond cuts diamond. If we respond to such post positively then it will encourage them so we should respond them negatively.

Isn't that kind of terrible, though, that we should have to be so mean and inconsiderate to them when they're not really bringing harm to any of us. I mean, we're talking about verbally abusing someone, and possibly bringing emotional pain to them as a result, just for the purpose of getting them to shut up. That just doesn't sound quite right, you know?

I know what you mean. When i come across such posts then first i check the profile of that person. If he's troll, and always post such things then i respond in abusive language. I know it feels terrible. But just think how irritable it would be for others when these perverts post such things? I always block such profiles.

But if they're a troll, maybe that's exactly the kind of response that they're hoping for from people, so maybe we should deprive them of that, and by that I mean that we simply block them.
