If you don't believe something exists, then you believe it doesn't exist. True or false?

ala9ala
False. If something was never known to you until someone mentioned it, then you only know that they believe it exists. You haven't experienced it, so you are not a believer in its existance yet, but you don't have information to confirm that it cannot and does not exist. Such is the dilemma with discussing God, Jesus, Buddha Muhammad, Krishna or whomever. They cannot prove the existance and you cannot prove the diety's non-existance.

i disagree. i don't believe a god exists, only because i have no proof. on the other hand i can't say god doesn't exist, because i can't prove he or she doesn't

Good point. Religious people tend to do the whole "innocent until proven guilty thing" because they can't prove he exists yet they still believe. Non-religious people then I guess believe "guilty until proven innocent" because they can't prove he exists so they don't believe he does. That then means agnostics, well, they... well.. I guess just don't ever put the question on trial? Is that okay? To ignore the question completely? Yeah. Unfortunately, I'm not like that though. I can't just stay out of the debate. It interests me too much.

it depends on u, for example young children don't believe there is a ghost but they imagine it and think it is real
