I'm curious why you want to hear people's issues. more so why people would burden you without knowing you at all, but maybe that's just me

I heard this quote today, "if everybody was to pile their issues, you will yours back" or something like that. So wanted to see how true that is. So far, I think most people who replied werent serious.. Its not a burden if I am asking, is it?
