Let me see if I get this straight... To give your only child a chance to grow up in a traditional, stable family environment, you are going to pull HALF the equation off the table and demonstrate an UNtraditional, UNstable UNfamily environment.
This is like asking if you should eat meat to guarantee that you'll be a vegetarian.

You create the environment that the child will grow up in. If you want to create a stable and traditional environment, then you will. If you CHOOSE differently, then... that is what you CHOOSE.

I can understand sacrifice for your children. I really can. However, I also know that walking away has never built ANYTHING to one's satisfaction. You need to participate, if you want results. You know the old adage: If it's meant to be, then it's up to me.
