That was me through out high school. Me: Hey you want to go out? Them: I think we are better as friends. Ugh. I never dated in high school because of it. Me older: Hey you want to go out. Them: No but we could be friends with benifits....FUCK! No I am not ok with it, I've never been ok with it. D:<

My advice to you is not to ask them out so directly. Don't use terms like "go out" use terms like "hang out" or "wanna go grab something to eat" or "wanna go catch a movie." You must become the spider and lure the fly to the web..... lol... Even after suggesting that the two of you "hang out" tell them "It's not a date, i just think your funny and thought you would be cool to hang out with."

Yeah, friends are good. Might suck if I liked them, but I would get over it. Don't see the point of mooning over someone not into you.

I don't see someone getting over it. The only reason a female will remain in the friend zone is because they have some kind of hope that he will one day realize that she is "the one". Staying in that "friendship" will only make a girl jealous of his new girlfriend(s) and she would be the one telling him, "She isn't the one".

I really only asked the question because "Brunhildevonshaft" asked this question of men, and I thought it was being a bit sexist..... lol.... but after I thought about it, I'm thinking that this question needs to be asked because we don't usually think of women being friend zoned. I myself have friend zoned a few women in my day.
