What do you think about politicians ordering police not to suppress riots, as in Baltimore and Ferguson?

I think it only increases suffering, and I think those politicians should be vulnerable to lawsuits from the people whose businesses and other properties are destroyed.

Makes no sense to me! They should make every officer of every police station buy and wear a body camera, that way there's less abuse of power, violence. If they've got nothing to hide, they won't have a problem with it. Also, obviously not undercover officers.

It seems rediculous but the past has taught us that fighting them spreds the violence. Its like water on a grease fire. Its much more productive to use passive control. No body wants the violence.
No, the past has taught us that you must suppress the riot when the first rock flies. THAT is what keeps the violence from spreading.

That lady who went upside her kids head did some riot suppressing. I'm shocked no one is yelling about child abuse. The people who should be vulnerable to lawsuits are the people who are burning things down and looting.

I agree with you, politicians are not suppose order the police to stand down. They are suppose to let them do their duty and they should be supporting them in every way they can.

I keep hearing that accusation but I find nothing to back it up. Can you cite a source please?
