He said it so many times, isn't it clear liberal Prof. Gruber gets a kick out of calling the American people stupid?

All too typical of the arrogance and unscrupulousness of today's American liberals. The context ironically was Obamacare, which he says passed because of the stupidity/gullibility of the American people, and he's glad of it. Yet the American people have always been strongly opposed to Obamacare. Giving his tendency to habitually make remarks on camera that serve to discredit him, isn't it Professor Gruber who is stupid?

The American people are remarkably scientifically illiterate in general and fairly short sighted. It does not excuse deceit, but our general public is not quite a bastion of critical thought and careful consideration.

I am sorry if being realistic sounds like smug arrogant contempt, but such is far from the truth. Rather, I am hopeful that some day people will learn that liberals and conservatives alike are focused on their own agendas and self-serving natures and that very few of them actually have the best interests of the public in mind. But I don't believe it will happen any time soon, as we're too caught up treating politics like sports and blindly rooting for their favorite team (Red vs. Blue).
