Are you ashamed of Obama's dereliction of duty in solidarity with France?

He decided to watch football games instead of joining the leaders of the free world in Paris. It makes me embarrassed as an American, but I guess it was honest. Obama is not a friend of free speech. He seems to have more of an affinity for Third World dictators like Muhammad Morsi of Egypt, the Castro brothers, the Iranian mullahs, and Abbas/Abu Mazen.

Its never a good idea to join a mob. Especially a European mob. I don't care how lofty the slogan on their banner, Facism is sneaky and takes advantage. It is perpetrated when fear motivates mobs. Did you see Merkel's face? She's scared to death. She knows where these things can lead. Obama was wise to scope a long view of this. I'm proud of him for his level head.
I think it's very unjust to call that a mob. But I grant you Obama probably thought to himself : "Oh my, they're ganging up on the poor Muslims." He's probably more concerned about Muslims whose feelings are hurt now by criticisms of Islam or of radical Islam than he is concerned about the survivors and the departed victims.
A mob is not orderly and calm.

I'm not one to nit pick over semantics, the process never ends. I told you how I feel and what I think. There were a lot of people there at the demonstration. There is a very strong anti immigrant wave coursing throughout Europe right now, even before the massacre at the magazine. My contention is that, considering past history, this fearful time is not a good time to hang out with a bunch of passionate european people in town squares. Look what happened when huge demonstrations ushered in the Arab Spring? That didn't go exactly where its lofty aims intended, did it? Extremists take advantage. To my mind, Obama was wise to keep a distance.
