Are anonymous websites really on their way out?

EP tried to imply that in their farewell message. I don't take their farewell message at face value. I believe that bottom line considerations are the real reason EP is closing down.Anonymity was what made EP the great website it was in its heyday. I must say that because of the greater willingness of people to express themselves with the protection of a username, I learned a really tremendous amount about human beings from EP that I could not have learned otherwise, and I'm grateful for the opportunity. I know that my ability to interact with many interesting and delightful people was greatly enhanced by the anonymity of EP. I could not have experienced anything like it on Facebook, which I feel is just a big waste of time.
