Do you think smartphones are needed in our modern world, or would old cellphones suffice?

I really can't do without one. My cool iPhone was stollen last week, it was so terrible. But I've already ordered this Samsung S5 from (https://www.goodguyselectronics.com/cell-phones/ ) I've never used Android so far, what do you guys think about the phone?

Oh no I'm so sorry to hear that! That's a nightmare! DX. I really like Android, since you could more on their phones than you could on an iPhone. iPhones are nice, too, though. They are very secure and easy to use. That I like. I feel though that iPhones are very susceptible to aging, what with the new OS versions Apple makes. I have some apps on my S5 that manages the RAM and erases "junk" data so my phone stays fast. It's almost been a year and my phone is just as fast as when I got it.
