wtf is wrong with people?
I was sitting waiting for train and this guy brings out an orange but didn't eat it, he just threw it away when he could've given to to one of the homeless guys right next to us. :/

Chances are though, that if you observed this, and those homeless guys really were homeless and hungry, that they would have also noticed, and presuming the orange was thrown into a trash bin, one of them would have gotten up to retrieve it, after the guy who threw it away had departed on his train.

yeah after he got on the train and I did I looked out the window and went to look in the trash for it

Sometimes people will place food items they don't want to eat, on top of the bins (if it's the kind with a sort of roof on it), and that's probably the kindest way to leave food for those who really need it.
