I've heard the first time that term on Family guy ..the irony ..the stupidest show coming up with stuff like that o.o
'Volkgeist'? Lol! Well it would make sense considering that the producers and writers and stuff would have a degree in the humanities and so they may have learnt some German history

Nah.. Volkgeist was way back, before Germany even existed as a country. It was Herder and Hegel so like, just the start of the 19th Century. WW1 hadn't even happened lol

Hmm probably actually.. The Nazis had a really bad habit of taking really nice nationalist German things and turning them ugly with his fascist association to them :/ it's really bad.

Hmm yeah. Reminds me of Aquinas' theory of apparent goods. It states that we all think that what we are doing is right, even though it may not be. Those are apparent goods, and the things that really are the good things to do are real goods. Pretty interesting stuff.
