Several years ago, just after Christmas my washing machine broke down so I had to go to a local laundrette. As I watched my smalls going round "Fairytale of New York" came on the radio. Thinking I was alone, I started singing the Shane McGowan part. To my absolute horror, a woman's voice began singing the other part. I never saw her as she was round the corner so I never found out who she was but she had a beautiful voice. That makes it my favourite for no other reason
