You could always take an extended vacation, spend alot of time together doing domestic stuff. You need to experience the nitty-gritty, not just the going out and laughs. Go grocery shopping together, do some spring cleaning together. See how you do. Long-distance jump is a big move. I've done it before and had regrets, but I know people who found the one.

follow your hart if some one told you if you move you will be very very happy but it will only last 2 years. if you stay where you are you will only be a bit happy for ever. better be very happy for a bit than not at all if you get me?

I would weigh up how special he is against the people you would be leaving behind :) also, how long you've known him/how well you actually know him :)
