Who else is too lazy to pump up the bicycle tires?

Usually ride on soft tires. Inflate only when rim permanently touches the ground or when I have a long way to go. Occasionally I´m told to pump it up by other people, they probably think I don´t realize the bulgy tires. Some comments are not very polite. But I don´t like fully pressured tires, I want them soft. So I inflate only enough that they are almost but not completely flat when I sit on the bicycle.

It's actually a waste as your tyres will last half as long because of friction with the rim. It's also dangerous because of the lack of grip an underinflated tyre has.

I agree, its waste. I see it as a not too expensive hobby. I indeed went into trouble because of a flat front tire. It became flat while braking and was not steerable anymore. Front tire got more pressure now. Actually both tires got the same pressure. My not the less bodyweight got the most effect on the rear tire. Never got problems with the soft rear tire. But of cause some fissure are already visible on the sidewall.

And tyres are not cheap anymore. I am an avid cyclist (for exercise) and have invested in puncture proof tyres. You don't need to inflate and will never get a flat tyre; just an idea.
