Do you support Muslims' use of Taqiyya

Check out this article and comment:http://pjmedia.com/blog/ben-carson-exposes-islamic-taqiyya-but-theres-even-more-you-should-know/?singlepage=true

With all due respect to Ben Carson, he is a neurosurgeon and a politician. He is not a historian nor a religious expert and when it comes to taqiyya he is misleading people about what it actually is.

You won't get any "enlightenment" with an arrogant approach like that.

My apologies to you if that seemed arrogant. I would like to know what taqiyya is and how it is applied in daily life. thank you

Taqiyya in Arabic means "safeguard/self protection". It's a method popularized by Shia Muslims in order to hide their beliefs and faith in a situation of extreme oppression where one can get persecuted for his or her faith. Islamophobes love to get overexcited about this term and they often succeed in convincing the average citizen that "taqiyya" is something bad when in fact it has absolutely nothing to do with "Muslims being allowed to lie to unbelievers" or any BS like that.

Muslims do not feel it necessary to be truthful with infidels. They are kind of like progressives that way.

There is definitely a " the end justifies the means " part of their dogma. They call it taqiyya and goes back to the very beginning of the religion.

Not in my country

Nor mine. But this was Dr Ben Carson's point about not supporting a Muslim president.

I think Dr. Carson was asked for his personal opinion and that is what he gave.
I can not conceive that a person that is a conscientious and devout Muslim could represent my rights as a US citizen. Ultimately, it is up to voters to decide that issue, not me or Dr. Carson.
