What's your theory about the Universe?

It would be interesting to see what you people think. Was it really a pinprick billions of years ago? Is it expanding or what? Are there more universes? Do we have multiverses? What is there outside the universe? Tell me what you think. :p

I believe that "God" created our universe that erupted from a singularity in a "Big Bang." The universe is still expanding but the expansion appears to be slowing from what I have read.

There is no consensus as to whether expansion will continue until entropy has been fully achieved, or all of the matter in our universe will contract once again until it achieves singularity.

I also believe that there are many, perhaps an infinite or near infinite number of universes, each with its own laws of physics and physical constants. There may even be "parallel universes," that have at one point in time or another "branched" away from our reality.

As to what is outside our universe, or all universes, I simply don't have a clue. Is it nothing, the lack of everything and anything? Or is it some environment of its own, perhaps a super-universe that contains innumerable universes within it? If that is the case, are there Super super-universes?

Looking at the structure of matter in our universes, we have yet to find for certain the smallest, most foundational unit of matter, e.g., everything in our world is made up of molecules that have bound together atoms, which are comprised of neutrons, protons, and electrons, which are comprised on smaller particles and so on; just as stars, planets, comets, and other matter bind together into solar systems, which bind together into galaxies, which bind together into clusters, which bind into super-clusters.

There appears to be great symmetry in all things we can see, big and small.

That is very interesting. I do believe in the existince of parallel universes, yeah. But what is outside all this universe or multiverse intrigues me the most. If there is nothing, how can that be possible? Because nothing is something :p. The super universe theory is interesting. Thanks. :)

HI Duke24
My theory is that The Universe is stranger than we can imagine and that sure we exist in a Multiverse. I find the fractel holographic universe compelling.
Best wishes
:)

That's what I think too xD. Alright, thanks :)

Yes. Mathematical fractals do seem to rule everything in our universe.

The universe has seen fit to create eyes wherewith it can see itself, In infancy, sight is blurred, as it is in age, What is the point of the universe with out some source of observation?
dukealone · 26-30, M
Indeed, what you say is absolutely true.
Dutchphil41
I like that question. Check youtube, you might find some interesting information about universe, earth, etc.
dukealone · 26-30, M
I've been searching that for quite a time. Just wanted to see what other people think. :p

It's big, unimaginably big, you won't believe just how big it is. It makes Texas look like an atom
dukealone · 26-30, M
Yeah, I know xD. And that there are more stars in the universe than there are grains of sand on earth. :p

Well we have to face it the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

“There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.”

“The trouble is the fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be.”

Also did you know that “Nothing travels faster than the speed of light, with the possible exception of bad news, which obeys its own special laws.”

What about it?
God started it all. And it's all pretty amazing.
dukealone · 26-30, M
Indeed it is.
1alwaysdreaming
Yup.
dukealone · 26-30, M
And do you believe God is still working and expanding it? Or has He stopped the work?
GnatFree
There's many theories, watch Cosmos to get a few of them.
dukealone · 26-30, M
Seen it. :p
GnatFree
You know the show changes every episode right? Because you're effectively saying, "Do I want to watch the news? Nah I saw it last night."
dukealone · 26-30, M
Ehm lol. I know, it has 13 episodes in all. Seen 'em.
Tsunami3
My theory is that this is the only way the universe can happen, and it keeps collapsing and repeating itself.
dukealone · 26-30, M
Alright, that's an interesting one. :)

Watch cosmos , simple , visually stunning , and amazing host .
dukealone · 26-30, M
Seen it. Pretty amazing yeah. Still, doesn't really show that kind of theories.
