What song, or songs, were so well performed live that you almost don’t even want to listen to the studio version?

Here are some that come to mind for me:

Peter Gabriel – Don’t Give Up (on Secret World Live)
Simon and Garfunkel – For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her (on Simon and Garfunkel’s Greatest Hits
Simon and Garfunkel – Kathy’s Song (on Simon and Garfunkel’s Greatest Hits)
Journey – Stay Awhile (on Captured)

Not Fragile by BTO I seen them do that live and the energy they put out can't be found on the studio version its like they drew energy from the crowd. Cheers!

I can't think of any. I hate hearing background noise and pointless chit chat that artists make with the fans

I can understand that. I usually don't care for that either, which is what makes the really good live version that much more rare and special.

Billy Joel - Piano Man (in Japan). Love the way that he comes alive on the piano! :D
