If you could change just one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Personally, I'd like to be able to learn things more quickly and easily, have more energy, and get back the body that I had fifteen years ago. Oops, that's three things. Oh well. I suppose that if I had the body back that I had fifteen years ago, that would probably take care of the other things because my brain would be working as well as it was then too.

My temper. Especially when I'm on my period. I don't have patience for anything or anyone and everything pisses me off. My PMS is really bad

It's okay my friend

I never used to believe in PMS until one day I cried during a sad TV show. I never cry about shows or movies that aren't true stories. I wondered what the heck was going on with me, until later that day my period started.

OMG I have horrible pms. I can tell. Everything will piss me off from a phone ringing to long , someone taking to long to answer my question, if the bus is a minute late. I also get a horrible migraine etc. I honestly think I should have FMLA during that time bc I get so grouchy and snap at everyone that one day I'm going to piss the wrong person off and get fired lol. I also gain a lot of water weight ( up to 8 pounds ). It's awful

Yeah, it might be good to get a day or two off during that time. I don't know if any company would be understanding enough to allow that, unless you got really sick and started throwing up. I used to always throw up during my period, and I was almost always told to go home. But the emotional stuff can be just as bad as the physical, if not worse. I wonder if any employers will ever be enlightened enough to understand that. They may just tell you to take something for it, like ibuprofen, which may or may not help.

I use to throw up every month too ! That stopped. It really is an issue and no I don't think any company cares about a woman's hormonal imbalance. Like you said , they just expect us to take something. Some women don't have it near as bad though.

No, not everyone does. I used to think that everyone had as much as pain as I had and I was just being a big baby about it, until I found out that more women had some cramps, but not like I had. It has gotten better for me, physically, too. I wonder if there's any prescription that helps with the emotional side of it, as well as the physical.

Hmmm. I never went to my doctor to complain about it. I don't get cramps at all. The migraine , bloating and pure bitchiness get me every time.

I remember when I was in high school, my mom took me to see a doctor about it because it was causing me to miss at least one day of school each month. The doctor prescribed something very powerful (probably a high dose of ibuprofen) for the pain. It relaxed my muscles so much that I almost felt like I was walking on air. In fact, it was a little bit too much. Because it was so powerful, I didn't keep taking it for very long. So I'm not too sure if it would take care of the emotional side of it or not. They said that it acted on a certain hormone my body was producing, which they said was the same hormone that a woman's body produces when she's giving birth! I don't know if that hormone causes emotional upsets or not. It would be interesting to know.
