Old World philosophers, if humans despise worms for living underground, why would not birds despise humans for living on the ground, with no wings?

I think you get humans here wrong, and the reasons for human sentiment is inaccurate, most people, do not despise worms for living underground. We recoil in disgust when we accidentally happen upon one because they are unpleasant to our senses, but this does not translate to "hated for living underground." No, we just find them gross and do not wish to be around them.
