How is it that something can exist?

Just as matter and energy can neither be created nor destroyed but only change its form one can extend this understanding to existence and nonexistence can neither be created nor destroyed but only change its form.

Then one might ask how can existence and nonexistence change form? Matter and energy are two forms of existence. There are other forms of existence for example dark matter and dark energy and others forms as well. In understanding other forms of existence one can come closer to that answer. There are also other forms of particles and sub particles of matter and energy that can bring us closer to that answer. This will come with time in our understanding of the laws of physics.

One can also see existence and non-existence as an infinite variance within a spectrum of its differential.

I am an Alchemist of the hermetic heritiage, my take is not conform "modern science", though still science, I think it may offer insights into your question.. I hope.. 馃槄 Existance is based around the distributive of energy. When energy moves, it always does towards a point where more ways of distribution are being found. Though hypothetically possible for energy to focus, it rarely does. Even black holes have rays emitting.. even fusion does release energy.. our world comes to be due to the diffuse way energy takes.

Gravity is the construct of the inaccessibility of energy due to the combinatory of particles into atoms. Existance always seeks to balance out the energy it cannot access. Existance therefore spreads its energy out to support a lack of energy, existance therefore agglutinates what is to be deprived of a state within the sphere of reality.

Existance is in proportion to what is being observed. It is the state of conformity. And this conformity comes forth out of energy. Humans over the millenia through stated and discovered that the energy of our world flows.. or comes.. goes.. it is because of this spectrality of reality to the nature of energy that makes how one does observe. And because one is within it, one cannot see what resides outside it..

Science does not offer an answer to what lays beyond. Hermetics does have a functioning model.. One can modelate with hermetics the fundamentals of reality itself. It may still offer nothing more than modern science in that regard for it is nothing very fancy, but the model of existance does work. But to all people I have ever spoken with, none was able to state genuine hermetics to be false.

It is often when people change their sight they will see, for the mind is not build to see static pictures. Our mind is constructed to serve to optimize our functioning as an organism. The reason why people cannot naturally reason outside of existance, is because the mind has no reverence point to it other than the overarching principles that all are bound to; for else existance and non-existance where not to be related, and that is obviously not the case. 馃檪

The Hermetic Heritiage does deal quite a bit with spectrums.. it is.. a very old principle found across All of the Arts, but particulary within Hermetics.. for it is quite old too.. 馃榿 If having questions feel free to send me a DM..

what is the meaning of these words?

[quote]I am an Alchemist of the hermetic heritiage,

i've always wanted to talk to an alchemist and an hermeticist...

do these teachings have any formulated scientific postulates concerning the concept of "energy" and if so, in what text?

@fakable I hope you found some. I think you do care about how I express my thoughts, else reasoning would also be not being cared about, the two are related in many ways. But maybe I look at it from a different angle and you mean something different with caring about my thoughts. Anyways, if you have any other question, please do not hesitate to let me know! <3

@Ukiyo

my choice?

would a dialogue be useful if in the description of the subject matter of the dialogue the participants in the dialogue had a choice in interpreting the understanding of the basic terms used in the discussion...

@fakable You always have a choice.

When someone asks what happened before the big bang, maybe there was a previous universe and the big bang was just an infinite start of another, there could be infinite big bangs.

Everything is recycled, nothing is created or destroyed, only transformed, in nature and the cosmos we see rebirth in micro and macro levels.

no
nonexistence does not exist

@fakable I agree
RedBaronM
Because it does. I think, therefore I am.
