Why would my modem start blinking like a Christmas tree and boot me off spontaneously at certain times during the day? It's brand new.

@Infoman: Yeah. It was just put in a few days ago. It's behaving again. I just wondered. I'm not real tech savy, but why would impedance be inconsistent?

@puck61: If your power cord is loose or damaged, the modem could be getting intermittent momentary power interruptions, causing a reboot ("blinking like a Christmas tree") and momentary loss of connectivity. Just a guess.

@NotQuiteRite No. I'm slumming. I just moved and my expenses jumped about 300 bucks a month! I just do the free scans once in a while, but I do have a detector that goes off once in a blue moon and tells me to un-ass the AO!
