Whats your favorite gmail alternative?

I'm looking to replace my gmail and find a safer email provider.

Any ideas?

oh damn. I just want a simple gmail alternative. I tried protonmail.com but ended up having some issues with logging in.

@darktippedrose: In the public realm they all have drawbacks. Gmail probably.
