@M3JollyMiles: Because going into the past causes too many paradoxes. Also, it's impossible. Travel into the future, though, is theoretically possible; it just requires you to move at speeds near the speed of light.

Yes it is possible. When you see the stars at night,it's what the star looks like years ago. Since it took light years for the light to reach earth.
