The truth of the matter is I am a fiercely opinionated technologist and my advice and expertise will always be colored by those preferences, of which I do not tend to have Weak preferences but strong ones.
Like for instance if you approached me about Webp files, as an example of a relatively memorable and recent update, and you were a Windows user I'd Tell you not only install IrfanView but also it's extensions so you have an Image viewer that could run it by default, thereby eliminating the issue entirely and eliminating the need to Screenshot and convert files. In general, If Conversions between file types CAN be avoided, I prefer to.
And this is not just a Weak preference, but I STRONGLY prefer doing things this way.
