Should children be genetically engineered?

This book I got the other day is fascinating, but it's giving me the heebes jeebus. What's your opinion on the matter? Is it ethical? Will all humans be genetically engineered in the future? What are the potential risks and rewards?

I'm for it. It's so sad to have bad genes. Some people might say it's unethical, but I'm tired of the "ethical" being shitty human beings themselves with all their judgment. The ideas of right and wrong become a moot point when you realize just how awful most of the human race is. I don't see it happening in the future, but I wouldn't mind it. I would find the results interesting. A big risk would be all the people who would confront it under the illusion of being a good person, a reward would be lives that are blessed with more potential.
