Should children be genetically engineered?

This book I got the other day is fascinating, but it's giving me the heebes jeebus. What's your opinion on the matter? Is it ethical? Will all humans be genetically engineered in the future? What are the potential risks and rewards?

It already happens, not on a large scale but is being done now because of a way of avoiding or fixing a few problems. It will be large scale and lead to a separation of the classes. There will be those who are smarter, healthier, taller, more good looking, olive skinned. It will be a race and class difference the likes of which we have not seen since pre historic man.
