Should children be genetically engineered?

This book I got the other day is fascinating, but it's giving me the heebes jeebus. What's your opinion on the matter? Is it ethical? Will all humans be genetically engineered in the future? What are the potential risks and rewards?

I think it's a very fascinating idea that we could eradicate disease at the genetic level .
I don't think that we need to go about building boutique humans and selecting hair and I color and other facial characteristics just because we want them .
