Should children be genetically engineered?

This book I got the other day is fascinating, but it's giving me the heebes jeebus. What's your opinion on the matter? Is it ethical? Will all humans be genetically engineered in the future? What are the potential risks and rewards?

No. I think it's wrong simply because the randomness is taken out of the equation, and children can end with genes from neither parent. The only advantage would be the possibility of removing significant defects which could affect a child from birth
