Why did dinasaurs have feathers?

Maybe it's a good protection against water, I take it there were swamps. It seems to adapt to several weather conditions. And some of them, the smaller ones, could glide through the air.

They were into tickling and sneezing back then. Dino-fetishes, which over time hollowed out their dominance of the world. If only they just appreciated feathers normally, they would be here today.
