Since neanderthals buried their dead before modern humans did they practiced any pre religious spirituality or shamanism?

There should be an anthropology category.

Specially since more recent research Neanderthals already have the focus of some branches of paleo anthopology and other scientific disciplies.
There were some indications from primitive art that neanderthals did in fact practice sprituality and perform ceremonies for the dead, these were found in their burial sites. In particular they burying close relatives together along with clothing, tools and other artifacts.
they probably did. they probably relied on all 6 of their senses. like most animals they were probably tapped into the energetic plane/fields of the universe. that’s what we call intuition, but we are taught to ignore it. i doubt they had so much fear, distraction and distrust of themselves and everything around them as we do today.
