China Completes Startup Of Its Artificial Sun

Last week, China finished the startup sequence of its HL-2M Tokamak reactor, its largest and most advanced nuclear fusion experimental research device, and scientists hope that the device can potentially unlock a powerful clean energy source.

This is designed to work alongside ITER, under construction in France, scheduled for completion in 2025.

This was initially proposed by Gorbachev, and took decades to negotiate and construction to start.

Pretty excited step toward achieving "renewable" energy, using the same process that powers the sun.

@Northwest there are many efforts is my point. I have posted a few replies on this. I'm actually trying to find those links right now.

@DeWayfarer Yes, there are multiple research efforts. ITER, however is the most significant one, combining the state of the art worldwide.

@Northwest reposting these because they are easy for everyone to follow. They both are only a couple of months old.
