Couldn't there be a mask you could wear on a plane that plugs into the air ventilation system and you just wear like a face shield?

Might be better and more comfortable.

@Tastyfrzz I think the air is taken in through the engines but you just don't know what is lurking in the pipes between the engines and the plane's cabin.

@tallpowerhouseblonde they recirculate 50% of the air but they supposedly filter it and are planning on zapping it with UV lights too. Bigger problem is the guy behind you.
